Latest Horror film deals for Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes

It seems horror (especially remakes) is indeed the new black with a glut of genre pictures being rushed into production in light of recent successes including Cabin Fever, and remakes of both Dawn of the Dead and Platinum Dunes' Texas Chainsaw.
Variety have reported that Dimension films have just purchased an untitled horror pitch set on a college campus by screenwriters Carey and Chad Hayes for Michael Bay's genre production company Platinum Dunes. The writers are also currently working on a remake of House of Wax for Warner Bros. and Joel Silver.
As if Platinum Dunes didn't have enough on its plate, it is also preparing a remake of The Amityville Horror as a co-production with MGM and Dimension which begins production in June for a January 2005 release. There is also talk of the three working on a prequel to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and rumours are circulating that Platinum may be interested in re-making another of Dimension's existing properties, namely Halloween.
