Now this news certainly gave us a bit of a Rise. Variety have recently reported that the fantastically sexy Lucy Liu has been cast in the lead role for Sam Raimi's new Ghost House Pictures vampire project, Rise.
Lucy Liu (who will next be seen in Tony Scott's Domino) will play a reporter who wakes up in a morgue and discovers she's no longer among the living. She vows revenge against the vampires responsible for putting her there and hunts them down one by one.
Written and (to be) directed by Sebastian Gutierrez (who also penned Gothika), the film will begin principal photography this summer. Vampires, Lucy Liu, black skin-tight outfits and tonnes of carnage. We're there.
This film adds to a very busy Ghost House production slate that currently includes the Pang Brothers’ Scarecrow, Dibbuk Box, The Grudge 2, 30 Days Of Night, Priest, and Sam Raimi's very own remake of The Evil Dead.
30th May 04 When the guests do arrive, they have an amusing habit of dying. This is obviously bad for business and so, with family honour in jeopardy they take quite quickly to hiding the bodies, usually accompanied by some big musical number.
