Admittedly not exactly horror film news, but the name connection seemed too good an opportunity to miss, besides being some great news for the British independent film industry.
Jennifer Love Hewitt, Dougray Scott (Mission: Impossible II) and Jimi Mistry (The Guru) have just begun filming The Truth About Love in Bristol and the South West this month with over half a million pounds of Lottery investment from the UK Film Council's New Cinema Fund.
The Truth About Love is a romantic comedy in which not everyone or everything is as it first appears. Directed by John Hay (There's Only One Jimmy Grimble) and produced by Tracey Adam at Lex Filmed Entertainment, the film also stars Branka Katic and Simon Webbe from the band Blue.
The original screenplay is written by Peter Bloore and William Johnston, and co-written by Rik Carmichael & John Hay. UK distribution will be handled by Redbus Film Distribution with foreign sales being handled by Lakeshore Entertainment. Principal photography began 11th April on location in Bristol.
