Aren't Sky good to us cult film lovers. As well as carrying The Horror Channel under its wings, there will now be a new "Bad Movies" film channel launching later this month that should prove unmissable for all lovers of appalling late night viewing, and that most certainly includes us.
Sit-up TV are calling the channel "The most honest movie channel available", and it is hoped that it will bring together the absolute worst of the worst films ever made. The channel will launch with a screening of the famous turkey Plan 9 From Outer Space from Ed Wood, and other planned screenings include White Cargo, (starring a youthful David Jason), the 1953 mystery Death Goes to School, the 1962 drama Dangerous Charter, and Stephen Spielberg's sister's (that's Anne Spielberg) space prison breakout flick Escape From DS-3.
The channel will be available 9pm-9am to Sky Digital Viewers and will be presented by Johnathon Ross' brother and film critic, Paul Ross. A more female / family oriented sister channel, called Matinee Movies will run from 9am-9pm.
30th May 04 When the guests do arrive, they have an amusing habit of dying. This is obviously bad for business and so, with family honour in jeopardy they take quite quickly to hiding the bodies, usually accompanied by some big musical number.
