William Winckler's Frankenstein Vs. The Creature From Blood Cove

29th May 05

Here's one for all you fans of classic 40s horror. William Winckler (The Double-D Avenger) has recently completed shooting on his second independent feature film, a loving black and white homage to the Universal-style horror classics called Frankenstein Vs. The Creature From Blood Cove.

Salisbury (from left, played by Rich Knight), Dr. Ula Foranti (Alison Lees-Taylor) and Dr, Monroe Lazaroff (Larry Butler) hear a strange cry

William Winckler's Frankenstein Vs. The Creature From Blood Cove stars Larry Butler, Alison Lees-Taylor and Mimma Mariucci, and includes special appearances by Butch Patrick (The Munsters), Lloyd Kaufman (The Toxic Avenger), Raven De La Croix (Russ Meyer's Up!), David Gerrold (Star Trek), Playboy model Carla Harvey and Cyberspace Adult Video Review (CAVR) Starlet of the Year Selena Silver.

"We really captured the look of a multimillion-dollar, widescreen, Panavision film," notes the director, who also wrote the screenplay and independently financed the picture. "This is a straightforward film combining classic-style creatures with Atomic Age monsters. The closer we're getting to completion, the happier I am with the production. There's no question that 'creature feature' fans are going to love it!"

The movie - shot entirely in black and white - is currently being edited, with a gala release planned for later this year. We'll bring you more news as we get it, and we hopefully have an interview with the writer/director himself, William Winckler coming soon.

Plot: In a remote laboratory near the California coast, Frankenstein's monster has been resurrected in a misguided attempt to use his colossal strength for good. As part of the same diabolical experiment, a half-human amphibian abomination has also been unleashed. Both creatures are determined to destroy one another, wreaking havoc throughout the isolated coastal community.
