This project has been long in the works, but finally we can now get to see some footage of the long-awaited follow-up to Requiem For a Dream from Darren Aronofsky.

Starring Hugh Jackman (who replaced Brad Pitt) and Rachel Weisz, The Fountain charts the doomed love affair between the two leads across three time periods - 1500, 2005 and 2500.
The film is set for a 2006 release and also stars Alexander Bisping, Ellen Burstyn, Jamie Isaac Conde and Cliff Curtis. Visit the official website here, although all you'll get at the moment is a groovy swirly screensaver.
In early 2002, Darren Aronofsky cast Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett in the central leads of Tom and Izzi with a budget of $75 million. During pre-production, Pitt and Aronofsky had creative differences, so Pitt left to film Troy and the film was shut down. In early 2004, with a smaller budget of $40 million, Aronofsky cast Hugh Jackman as Tom and Rachel Weisz replaced Blanchett as Izzi.
2nd Mar 05 This movie involves a lot of talking and a lot of walking around, opening doors, then walking a bit further, opening another door, then wiping off dirty hands, then perchance a glimpse of nudity with no follow-through.
