The on-set blog for Danny Boyle's Untitled Sunshine Project
21st Nov 05
Following the reasonable success of Danny Boyle's children's fantasy film Millions, the 28 Days Later director is once again working with novelist and screenwriter Alex Garland (who wrote The Beach - the book, and 28 Days Later - the film).
Principal photography began recently in London on the Untitled Sunshine Project, with a cast that includes Michelle Yeoh, Cillian Murphy, Benedict Wong, Rose Byrne, Chris Evans, Cliff Curtis, Troy Garity and Hiroyuki Sanada.
If that wasn't exciting enough, thanks to the wonders of modern technology and the popularity of blogging tools, you can now read a blog from Gia Milinovich who is in he enviable position of being able to post developments on the production of the film.
To read about the current state of affairs on the project, and to read several interviews with the cast and crew as well as view videos of the sets to be used, visit Gia's great Sunshine blog at www.sunshinedna.com.
Synopsis: The Sun is dying, and mankind is dying with it. Our last hope: a spaceship and a crew of eight men and women carrying a device which will breathe new life into the star.
But deep into their voyage, out of radio contact with Earth, their mission is starting to unravel. Soon the crew are fighting not only for their lives, but their sanity.
18th Apr 05 This scene is fantastic and it made what was already a cool-as-fuck film even cooler. Charlie sees the giant spawn (huge, slimy toothsome puppet-beast) and he works out that the spawns’ primary sense is based on what they hear.
