Sneak a behind the scenes peek of Final Destination 3
4th Jan 06
It must be quite fun being an actor sometimes, although I'm not particularly envious of the actors on Final Destination 3, who apparently had to sit on a roller coaster 60 times to get the coverage needed for the second sequel's opening theme park disaster.
Whilst the film is not released in the cinemas until February 10th in the US and the UK, if you visit Amazon you can sneak a brief look at the making of the rollercoaster scene for Final Destination 3 and see how they achieved the effects with green screen, CGI and practical shots. This clip is a small part of the 20-minute Final Destination 3 preview disc that you get when you buy the first two films two-pack.
Directed by James Wong, Final Destination 3 stars Ryan Merriman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kris Lemche and Alex Johnson. You can visit the official website at www.fd3movie.com.
Set six years after the original film, the latest chapter focuses on a high school senior who has a premonition of a roller coaster accident that would mean the death of herself and her friends (good to know they’re not changing the set-up at all!)
Of course, when the premonition turns out to be true, those who ‘cheated death’ are mercilessly hounded by death himself, eager to reclaim what was his in what is expected to be even more outlandish death set-pieces than ever before.
