Max Brooks' Festival of the (Living) Dead! at the Barbican
13th Nov 06
Here's some great news for all of us zombie-lovers! To help promote the release of Max Brooks’ quite amazing novel World War Z, there’s going to be a gore-tastic film season of flesh tearing, gut-wrenching zombie horrors, hand picked by the undead expert himself.
Author of 2004’s best-seller The Zombie Survival Guide Max Brooks’ new book World War Z recently sparked a bidding war between Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio's production companies (Plan B and Appian Way respectively) for the film rights. Plan B won and will be producing the film.
The season will take place at The Barbican in London, UK from Tuesday 14th – Saturday 18th November.
It includes two classic Romero titles, the FrightFest Presents title Dead Meat and a kick-zombie-ass Japanese Double Bill featuring our favourites, Wild Zero and Versus. Max will be onhand for a ScreenTalk to open the season, and will be introducing some of his chosen films.
