We haven't heard much about this one, but it certainly looks intriguing. When young patients at a rundown children’s hospital in a remote location start experiencing inexplicable injuries, triggered by what the children describe to be the “Mechanical Girl”, no one seems to believe them until the new night shift nurse Amy (Calista Flockhart) arrives.
Replacing a nurse who left mysteriously, Amy finds the children have been the victims of a number of bizarre attacks, all taking place during the children’s sleep, whereby their bones have been broken whilst they lay in their beds.
Unable to get any answers from the resident doctors and nurses, Amy starts her own investigation and after befriending one of the children – Maggie - discovers that this young patient has apparently found a way of communicating with the “Mechanical Girl – Charlotte” who haunts the abandoned floor above, which has been closed for forty years.
Soon the frenzied assaults become more frequent and it's time to get the children out of the hospital. But "Charlotte" doesn't want them to leave. To save them all, Amy may have to confront the despicable figure lurking on the floor above them...
