DVD details for Planet Terror, out on Region 2 10th March
2nd Mar 08
Finally you'll be able to (almost) recreate the Grindhouse experience at home when Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror joins it's Death Proof counterpart on DVD when it is released on Region 2 on March 10th from Momentum.
Planet Terror will be released as a double-disc set (RRP £17.99), with Disc one featuring the 101 minute feature film, leaving a tack of blood-spattered extras, including director's commentary, the 10 minute film school and lots of other features, for Disc two.
Married doctors William and Dakota Block (Josh Brolin and Marley Shelton) find their graveyard shift inundated with towns-people ravaged by gangrenous sores and a suspiciously vacant look in their eyes.
Among the wounded is Cherry Darling (Rose McGowan), a go-go dancer whose leg was ripped off during a roadside attack, and El Wray (Freddy Rodriguez), a mysterious drifter with a past.
Cherry may be down on her luck, but she hasn't danced her last number. As the virus turns the invalids into enraged aggressors, Cherry and El Wray lead a team of accidental warriors into the night, hurtling towards a destiny that will leave millions infected, countless dead and a lucky few heading for the last safe corner of PLANET TERROR.
Planet Terror DVD special features;
- Director's Commentary with Robert Rodriguez
- 10-Minute Film School
- The Badass Babes of Planet Terror
- The Guys of Planet Terror
- Casting Rebel
- Sickos, Bullets and Explosions: The Stunts of Planet Terror
- The Friend, the Doctor, and the Real Estate Agent
26th Apr 04 Itís not all bad of course. This is Tarantino, after all, and there are plenty of highlights. Action scenes are handled very well, (the fight between Black Mamba and Darryl Hannah in particular, is a poke in the eye to any who doubt that),
