Horrorshow unleashed at FF '08

 What happens when five young and rather disturbed UK filmmakers decide to get together with a veteran cult movie director and create some seriously twisted fun? Norman J Warren Presents: Horrorshow is what happens, folks, and I'm here to tell you the the time and place.
Premiere: Film4 Frightfest on 25th August 2008.
Hosted by Norman J Warren – veteran director of UK horror classics Inseminoid, , Satan's Slave as well as my personal fave, Prey – Horrorshow features segments from the creators of festival sensations Slash Hive and Trannibal Flesh Feast, with special effects by Alex Chandon (Cradle Of Fear, Borderline) and a jaw-dropping cameo from Axelle Marshall, horror writer, actress and partner of Neil Marshall.
Here's what Norman J Warren had to say about the project: ""Hosting Horrorshow has been great fun, and I've really enjoyed working with all concerned. With a style reminiscent of horror films of the 70's and 80's, each of the short films tells a story of terror in its own unique way, and made with skill and great affection for the genre. Horrorshow presents five excellent short horror films, made by five talented film makers, and I'm very pleased, and honored to be associated with them."
Over the next 30 minutes you will flinch, squirm, and revel in the following short slices of beautifully macabre indulgence:
* Neon Killer – as two grizzled detectives face the twilight of their careers, the identity of the sadistic maniac who has eluded them for decades is revealed.
Directed by Ben Robinson and featuring Roger Robinson and Louis Raynes
* The Flea – a psychotic would-be vampire hunter tries to coax his erstwhile partner back into the fold for one last slaying.
Directed by Ben Steiner and featuring and Mark Fleischman and Simon Meacock
* Smile – a young woman discovers that a harsh breakup can leave a lasting impression.
Directed by Sophie Cowles and featuring Rachel Mitchem and David W Hall
* The Initiation – a trip far outside the city limits leads a young couple to a place where arcane rituals have replaced all reason..
Directed by David W Hall and featuring Zoe Grisedale and Tom Hare
* The Incursion – an intruder turns up more than he bargained for in a house full of dark secrets.
Directed by Giles Edwards and featuring Betty Wilson and David W Hall
