Is Ridley gearing up for a new Alien film?

 Japanese DVD magazine, Famitsu Wave, features a new interview with Ridley Scott, focusing on the new DVD release of his latest film Matchstick Men. However, through the course of the interview, talk inevitably wandered to the subject of rumours of a possible new Alien film (with Sigourney Weaver) in pre-production.
He states that things are progressing, although not necessarily with Ridley Scott attached as director, although he is confident of some sort of involvement.
Ridley mentions Fox will be monitoring the success of upcoming Aliens v Predator in view to produce both a new Alien and Predator feature.
Ridley Scott - " In broad terms, It's something for those folks that want to see Ripley's Journey come full circle."
He also hints at the possibility of visiting the Alien home world - "She won't necessarily see the home planet, but you might... "
Here's hoping Paul W. Anderson (Alien vs Predator director) makes a better film than his previous efforts (Soldier, Resident Evil)
