Savini joins Land of the Dead

 What would a Romero zombie movie be like without Tom Savini? Rubbish, do you think?
Well fear not. Since KNB have signed on to do the zombie effects for George's longawaited zombie opus, it did look like Tom was out of a job and his love affair with all things undead was over. Not so, apparently Savini's in talks to play the leader of a scavenger group attempting to overthrow a city while the zombies spend their time evolving into something a little smarter.
George has also expressed an interest in Asia Argento (err, to star in his film that is) but all details regarding that business are sketchy, as are details of whether or not the famous Sex Machine cock gun will be in the frame either (which would give new meaning to the term 'Shoot them in the head').

Previously known as 'Twilight of the Dead' and 'Dead Reckoning', George has been trying to get this project going to nearly 20 years now...
