DVD Releases - wc March 7th 2005

 It's a sparse week for genre films this week, with the only major monster movie release being Comubia Tristar's long-awaited (for some) Alien vs Predator disc, appearing in a plain single disc or double-disc Extreme edition. Aside from the Paul Anderson directed xenomorph fistfight, we'll also gladly drop in a mention for Layer Cake (or should that be L4yer Cak3?), one of the best British thrillers of recent years.
There's even less released Stateside this week, with only The Ring Collector's DVD released in the run-up to the theatrical run of Ring 2.
