Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake prequel rumours surface again

 According to one of our American counterparts, a direct prequel to last years mega-hit is good to go.
The story ran on Bloody Disgusting is that the guy who played the Sheriff, one R. Lee Emery (of Full Metal Jacket and Frighteners fame) has given the biggest hints yet that the prequel will happen.
The story claims "Ermey said that when he read what they wrote for his part as the sheriff in 'Chainsaw', it just stunk to high hell, so New Line gave him the power to re-write his character.
Well New Line loved his version of the character so much that they have decided, since they can't do a sequel - seeing that the sheriff was ran over 3 times - to do a prequel on Leatherface's murders leading up to the remake."
Good news indeed? Let's hope so.
