First pic and rumours for The Fog

 So with shooting underway in Canada on the remake of John Carpenter's classic ghost story, the first pic from the set of the film has emerged over at www.creature-corner.com (see left). Sure, it's not that exciting, but it certainly looks like a very nice boat. Apparently this picture was taken during the scene where the boat catches fire (must be flashback scene then..)
The scooper who sent in the pic has also revealed that Gwen Steafani has joined the cast list. This is only a rumour at the moment, but she did get a hell of a lot of attention for her 2 minute cameo in The Aviator, so maybe she is trying to carve out an acting career for herself to go alongside her music.

The film stars Tom Welling, Maggie Grace, Selma Blair, DeRay Davis and Rade Serbedgia, and John Carpenter is also involved in a producing role.
Filming began on the Revolution Studios' project on March 24th in Vancouver. The Fog is being directed by Rupert Wainwright (Stigmata) and is due to be released later this year (the plan for the US release is October 14th).
