New Horror Script competition from Golconda Films

 Here's one for all you budding horror script writers out there in the UK who think you can do better than Day of the Dead: Contagium (well, it can't be that hard can it?)
Golconda Films and The Script Factory have announced a new horror film script competition this Autumn, with the aim to develop and foster new screenwriting talent and encourage horror within the British film industry.
Aimed at new screen-writers who have never sold or had feature film screenplay optioned, the competition launches on October 3rd, 2005, with a closing date for applications on January 27th, 2006.
The winner will be announced at the end of February 2006.
Prizes
1st Place:
£1000 advance on a script option to make a horror film.
2x Runner Ups:
Two finalists will be placed through a One on One Script Development Program at The Script Factory.
How to Apply
The script should be roughly one hundred pages long and submitted in an acceptable screenwriting format (e.g. Final Draft). Entries can be submitted digitally or on hard copy, but must have a completed application form to be accepted.
(Hint: The script should be a contemporary horror story which focuses on a single protagonist.)
