Miner to direct the Day of the Dead remake
2nd Nov 05
So the Dawn of the Dead remake made some money, why not roll out a remake to Day of the Dead quick while zombies are still cool.
Not too sure on this one, but then again we did say the same when news of the Dawn of the Dead remake reached us, so who knows. Anyway, it looks like the project is now definitely going ahead as it has been announced that Steve Miner (Halloween H2O and Lake Placid) will be taking the directorial roles on the film, which is currently being written by Jeffrey Reddick (Final Destination).
Not too bad credentials then for a remake of Romero's classic, (Day is slowly becoming even more loved by Romero fans, surpassing Dawn as their new favourite of the original trilogy) so let's hope they get their Bub v2.0 right.
More Information
The Day of the Dead remake is being produced by Millennium's Avi Lerner and Boaz Davidson.
