The Zombie Diaries secures UK distribution

 We first heard of this film way back in August 2005 (see our earlier news story here), shouted about it a bit, eventually managed to review the film and then had our quotes inserted in the recent trailer, so we were really excited when we found out that Michael Bartlett and Kevin Gates' low-budget film The Zombie Diaries has now secured a UK distribution deal.
According to Michael Bartlett's Cannes report on his diary site for the film (www.makingthefilm.com - a mst for all budding filmmakers!), The Zombie Diaries has now closed on a deal for UK distribution with Revolver Entertainment, although there is still no official word as yet on a release date (we're guessing late August or early September).
In other good news for the filmmakers, the movie has also been picked up by Imagination Worldwide who will be handling the worldwide sales for the film, and apparently have "as good as already sold the German DVD rights".
Great news for the guys, and great news for UK indie filmmaking full stop. More news as we get it...

The Zombie Diaries is composed of three stories that interlink. The first segment tells the story of survivors who retreat to an old farm; the second segment tells the story of three people scavenging the remnants of a dead city; the third segment follows a documentary team who are caught up in the outbreak as it begins. The stories link up at several points.
